#86 - The One About Unreasonable Dreams

This is about small, unreasonable dreams we secretly hold

One of the questions we ask applicants is to share an unreasonable dream they secretly hold.

We find this question powerful because it activates the inner voice that often gets silenced/neglected, the part that knows what it really wants to do. Some people call it intuition, the heart, or an inner knowing.

We call them “unreasonable dreams.” They are the things you would try if nobody was judging. And often those “unreasonable” dreams are not as unreasonable as we might believe.

In today’s episode, “The One About Unreasonable Dreams,” Justin and I talk about our own unreasonable dreams, reflect on the past week of building Eleven Dunbar, share who Eleven Dunbar is for, and take a slightly ridiculous detour into a question: what might the first inner dialogue of early humans have sounded like?

What’s a small, unreasonable dream you secretly hold?

“The reasonable person adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable person” - George Bernard Shaw
